DQS and MDS are both SQL 2012 features supported by BI and Enterprise editions. Data Quality Services (DQS) can be used by business users and IT professionals to maintain the quality of their data and to ensure that the data is suited for their organization’s business usage. Master Data Services (MDS) is a SQL Server feature for master data management (MDM).
